“IT’S NEVER A GOOD IDEA TO DISCUSS RELIGION OR  POLITICS WITH PEOPLE YOU DON’T REALLY KNOW.” AGREE OR DISAGREE

People are so overprotective with their opinions. Some people with fight to the death to have you hear what they think. Often they will not stop until you give in and agree with them. I have never been able to understand those people who feel the need to push their opinion on you. I have a hard time tolerating other people’s rash opinions and judgements. So I take an avoidance position.

I, at all times, try not to discuss religion and certainly not politics with anyone, whether I know them well or not. I have my beliefs and opinions and I believe in those things whole-heartily, but I typically keep them to myself. I just don’t think other people really care about what I have to say about those topics, mostly because I don’t care what they have to say. I avoid conflict and arguments at all times.

When with new people I’d rather learn about them, their families and what they enjoy doing with their time. I don’t want to get into some sort of ill-informed debate on large abstract issues.
