IF YOU COULD CHOOSE TO BE A MASTER OF ANY SKILL IN THE WORLD, WHICH SKILL WOULD YOU PICK.
Sailing. Boating. Ship captain. Sailer of the long lost seas. I don’t even know what to call it, but I would have loved to be a ocean master. Learning the seas, navigation by stars and sailing to all the uninhabited tropical islands. Coming into port to restock supplies and then heading back out to sea once again. Sailing into dreamlike cities. Seeing the lights of the Eiffel Tower and Opera House from the water. Making literally the first foot prints on lonely sandy beaches. And discovering all the world has to offer by way of the ocean.
I dream of watching dolphins play in blue clear water and humpback whale calves nursing near my boat. I dream of watching iguanas dive and sea turtles coming to shore. It’s a big fat dream. I will never be a boat master. I will never know the bow from the stern and I will never come about correclty. I will likely never even be on a ship making port from the sea, but it is fun to dream — and I dream big.
