First Market

It was one of those "be brave" moments when I clicked the link to apply to be a part of a local farmer's market. When the "you have been accepted" email came through a few weeks later I felt excited and a little panicked.

My little farm doesn't produce a whole lot extra, meaning what I grow and produce feeds and supports my family, but what is extra I am always eager to share with friends and family, and now all of my little town.

My first market was just perfect. The weather was warm, and after many weeks of cold and wind, the community is eager to get outside, so the turn out was great. The live music was soothing, and sitting near the band, I felt as relaxed as I had in a long time.

I sold a little bit of everything I offered, met some very sweet people and had conversations bout sourdough started, SCOBYs and people asked about my goats and chickens and then with real interest let me talk about them!!! Ha!

I'll be at the Werk's Market, at GardenWerks, the 3rd Thursday of every month, through September. Look for the red umbrella!
