If you want a good laugh take our Dave downtown! Along with Em, Dave and Jack-Jack, Dylan and I went to the brew fest downtown. From every nook and cranny of the valley the wide variety of Missoulianites – natives and imports – flock to the kegs. We sat on the grassy hill with the M glowing orange from the setting sun and the live band shrieking out well-known rock songs, and we giggled.
Our night out was made possible by the amazing offer of our good friends, Neil and Ember, who had our kids for a sleepover. Landon was very excited for his first real sleepover at his buddy Will’s house! He cried a little bit at bedtime, but he was able to fall asleep and he slept well.

The following morning we all met at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Youth Event. The kids learned about wildlife, conservation and hunting tradition while playing games, shooting paint balls with a sling shot, doing crafts, shooting a bow and rock climbing. It was a wonderful free event and all the kids received a backpack and many, many goodies and prizes.
After the elk foundation we took a picnic lunch to the river. It was a perfect day to eat fried chicken and berries on a blanket and bury our toes and Addi in the warm fine sand.
